MANDATORY MEETINGS

At least one parent is required to attend all Mandatory Meetings and must attend the entire meeting. Excused absences are allowed (i.e. of excused absences are unexpected and necessary trips out of town or serious illness). You must call the High School Coordinator prior to the meeting and let him/her know of your absence in order for it to be excused. Student’s enrollment will be terminated for absences that are not excused.  The primary purpose of the mandatory meetings is to conduct PSP business. High School Check Lists, Report Cards, Mygradebook Summaries, and Work Samples will be collected. We recommend that you make copies of everything you turn in for your personal records. If we do not receive your paperwork by the meeting date or your paperwork is incomplete, your student’s enrollment will be terminated.

TESTING

CCS-PSP high school students are required to take Standardized testing on CCS campus with CCS students. Tests are given in the spring. It is the responsibility of the parent/teacher to check CCS’s newsletter for exact dates and time.

DAY SCHOOL INVOLVEMENT

Home school students have the opportunity to participate in Calvary Christian School’s (CCS) day school. Areas of involvement vary from year to year depending upon what is being offered. Typically, students are able to participate in sports, drama, choir, academic classes and monthly chapel services. Except for chapel, all of these opportunities require an additional fee not covered by your PSP registration and tuition fees. Members will be informed of what opportunities are available by the administration.

CURRICULA

The PSP does not provide any curriculum nor does the PSP require any specific curriculum. Parents of high school students are required to fill out a 4 year plan and Class Schedule for each high school student and submit it to the High School Coordinator before you begin home schooling in order to make sure that the curriculum you have chosen for your student meets the requirements of CCS.
